Spin the Pin: 2 Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

We are back after Jenn took a trip and Melanie got sick. We made it through safely and are here with another... Spin the Pin!!! This week we took on the 2 Ingredient Pumpkin Cake.  Watch our video below to check out how we put this easy cake together.

This pin was as simple as it sounds and quite delicious.  Here is the original pin from the Noble Pig.

This recipe was very straight forward.  The ingredients were easy to find and easy to put together.

Here are the two ingredients.  Yes that's it, to make the cake...  It is a little misleading because you do have the ingredients for the glaze.

But that does bring it up to 5 ingredients, but who's counting anyway... I suppose you could just top it with whip cream and then you would have a 3 ingredient cake.  Ours came out delicious.

We made our glaze just a little bit thicker just by adding a bit more powdered sugar. Jenn thinks this cake would be great with a streusel on top to make a great coffee cake.  Melanie would like to have made the glaze with orange juice for an over the top orange flavor.

Anyway way you slice it we cleaned our plates.  Including Melanie...  This isn't a sturdy cake so don't be trying to stack it up and make a wedding cake out of it.  It has a very pudding/custard like texture to it.  We recommend you try it.

We'll see you next week with another fall Pin.  If there is something you would like us to try and film let us know we would love to spin it for you.  Until next week...

SPIIINNN!!!

Gingerbread Disaster

Turning a negative into a positive.

With Christmas looming Jenn has lots of Shriner events to attend, and this one required her to whip up a quick dessert.  She chose to make up an old-fashioned gingerbread cake.  She found the recipe in her old Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook.
