Our Day Off

Our Day Off

Hey Spin-Sters, This week we wanted to show you where we live.  We decided to take you on a road trip to St Augustine, Florida.  We live in Jacksonville, but we needed to run some errands to pick up some more tea.  Here is a glimpse of our day off. Enjoy.

Our fist stop is at the fort Castillo De San Marco.  This Fort was built in 1672 by the Spanish to protect its settlers that came to America as early as 1586.

It is a very cool place to visit. During the weekends tour guides in period costume blow one of the cannons, three times a day throughout the weekend.

The Bridge of Lions crosses the Intercoastal Waterway and takes you to the beach.

The entire fort is made of Coquina.  Coquina is a naturally formed stone made of oyster shell fragments and sand and is virtually indesructable.

For more history, visit StAugustine.com, and for park info NPS.gov.

While in town we visited a few of our favorite places…

Spice and Tea Exchange

Whetstone Chocolates

Bath Junkie

We had an amazing lunch at French Fry Heaven.  Where we caught a flash mob.  Exciting!!!

On our way out of town we picked up some Gourmet Popcorn.

We hope you enjoyed Our Day Off; we will post a haul next week. Til then keep spinning and don’t forget to subscribe, and comment.

SPPPIIINNN!!
